2015年AGU秋季会议—给中国同行的邀请

It is with sincere pleasure that I invite you to submit an abstract to the scientific program for the 2015 AGU Fall Meeting, which is being held 14-18 December at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California, USA. This unique gathering draws attendees, including students, from a variety of fields and industries related to the Earth and space sciences and their applications.

I am excited to be able to share this opportunity with you. At the Fall Meeting, you will be able to share your research with and gain important feedback from more than 20,000 of your peers, as well as network, make new connections, and take away invaluable information that can enhance your research and career.

In addition to presenting an abstract, students can take advantage of various programs and services, including the Career Center, networking events, and the second annual Student and Early Career Scientist Conference. They will have the opportunity to meet both peers and seasoned scientists, making the Fall Meeting an excellent platform for professional growth. I encourage you to read more about what the Fall Meeting has to offer, including how to apply for student travel funding.

Not only is the Fall Meeting an ideal platform for scientific exchange, it is also a venue for international participation – for which AGU is extremely proud. Last year’s attendees included more than 7500 participants from outside the U.S., including nearly 700 of our colleagues from China.

Your impact on the geophysical sciences makes a difference, and you can secure the exposure you deserve by submitting an abstract to the world’s most prestigious Earth and space sciences meeting.

The abstract submission deadline is 5 August; however, we encourage you to submit by 29 July for a chance to win complimentary meeting registration. If you have any questions about the scientific program, please feel free to contact the AGU meetings staff, or visit the Fall Meeting website for more information on our various programs and events.

I look forward to seeing you in December!

  Regards,
